DAVID paige1102597 * ** *** Commentaires généraux *** ** * xxxxx://fr.findagrave.com/memorial/5694470/andr%C3%A9_b-pequignot Spouse: Mary Josephine Maldine Pequignot (1830 - 1872) Andrew Pequignot was born in France November 23 1825 died in Versailles Ohio Jan 8 1907 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Frank Dapore on East Main St. He came to this country with his parents in 1831 being then a child of six years of age. They first located in Stark County lived there three years and afterwards moving to Darke Co. In 1848 he married Mary Malden who was also born in France and who departed this life in 1872. They reared a family of six children John Andrew Frank August Mrs. James Ward and Mrs. Frank (Alice Pequignot) Dapore. In 1857 they took up their abode in the wilds of Shelby County. When he settled on tis land there was not a stick cut. They moved into their cabin without a roof although there had been settlements made long before he came. After the death of his wife he lived on the home farm with his children. Mr. Pequignot was a remarkably strong man for his age. Being aged 81 years one month and sixteen days. Two years ago it will be remembered he met with an accident being run over by a horse from which time his health failed rapidly. Being a man of friendly disposi-tion he readily made many friends and he was usually called 'Uncle Andy' among his acquaintances. The last six years of his life he lived with his daughter Mrs. Frank Dapore at whose home he died. He leaves five children three sons and two daughters twenty-six grandchildren three great grandchildren and many other friends and relatives to mourn his departure. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. James Ward Mrs. Margaret Wallace of Lima Ohio Mrs. Arilla Long of Wapakoneta Ohio August Pequignot of Columbus Indiana August Pequignot Mr. and Mrs. William Pequignot and Louis Pequignot of Anderson Indiana Louis Pequignot of Greenville Ohio and Frank Pequignot of Dayton Ohio. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our sincere thanks to our friends neighbors and relatives for their sympathy and kindness extended to us in our sad bereavement in the death of our dear father Andrew Pequignot especially do we thank Rev. Father Schner for his kind and consoling words the pall bearers Dr. J. S.
