He was wounded in battle. He was with Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. When returned home from the army, he was married to Frances Grizza or Grisez about 1813 in France. thanks Nancy Foye-Cox ADDITION: Stanislas and his family immigrated from France to Ohio between 1831 and 1833 and first settled in Jackson Township, Stark County, Ohio. He purchased 40 acres of land in Stark County on July 15, 1833 and sold it on April 28, 1836. His land was located in Section 35, Northeast quarter, East half, Northwest quarter. It is the site of Hills and Dales Village, across the street from the Tamoshanter Golf Course. At some point, he moved to Frenchtown in Darke County OH (1834?).
