GUILLAUME * ** *** Commentaires généraux *** ** * xxxxx://fr.findagrave.com/memorial/38393891/antoine_beugnot Antoine (Anthony) Beugnot came to the United States in 1843 with his parents Francois Beugnot and Collette Perrigot. They first settled in Stark County, Ohio, but five years later moved to Jefferson Township, Allen County, Indiana. In 1858 Antoine moved to Beaver Island, Michigan, and worked as a cooper and a fisherman. By 1859 he had returned to Allen County. August 30, 1859 he married Clemence Girardot, daughter of Joseph girardot and Reine victoirine Jacoutot. In 1862 he joined his brothers in a cooperage and stavemaking business. In the 1870s antoine expanded their business to Cecil, Ohio, establishing a sawmill and buying over 700 acres of timber covered Black Swamp land to provide their own timber for their barrel making industry.
