Grillon part aux USA en 1854.
La famille est recensée en 1860 à Perryville, Comté de Perry.

Un seul des enfants de Constant lui survit et quatre petits-enfants et restent aux USA. Constant rentre alors en France.

24 July 1896 - 'OBITUARY - Constant Grillon, an adopted citizen of the U.S., and for a long time citizen of Perry County, died in his native land, FR, on the 9th day of June last (1896) age 72 yrs. Deceased came to this country about 1854, settling in Perry County, was a ________________ by profession but just after settling here became a farmer. Here he married Miss Victoria Besand, this union was blessed with 6 children. As Constant grew older, hehad the misfortune to lose his wife and 5 of his children, leaving himself solitary and alone on his farm. A few years ago, he sold his farm and property and moved to Perryville, where he resided for several years with his son, Joseph The only remaining child. A desire to spend the declining years of his life in his native homeland amid the familiar surroundings of his early life took posession of him and in May 1893 he bid farewell to the land of his adoption and returned to his native land, where his mortal remains now sleep the sleep that knows no waking. He leaves as his descendants, son, Joseph and 4 grandchildren and also many relatives and a host of friends.' Source: 'Perry County Sun' Newspaper
Death Record: On the 16th of June of the year 1896, at 6:00 p.m. appeared before us, Charles Maurice Girod, Mayor, Registrar of the village of Frasne, district of Levier borough of Pontarlier, Doubs Department, as follows: Joseph Pelletier, 37 years old, farmer, nephew of the deceased, and Luc Regnier, 33 years old, merchant dealer, neighbor of the deceased, both residents in Frasne, and declared that on this present day, at 4:00 p.m. Constant Grillon, 69 years old, without profession, resident in Frasne, born in La Riviere on the 25th August 1826, widower of the late Bessand (the delcaring persons affirm not to know the first names of this latter), farmer in her day, resident at Perryville, State of MO, North-America, son of the late Francois Emmanuel Grillon and the late Marie Cesarine Perny, farmers in their day, residents in La Riviere, has died in the house of the first hereabove declaring witness, located in Frasne, what we can certify after having visited the deceased person. The above mentioned declarant persons have signed with us the present certificate after it has been read to them.
