Huchet. occ. tailor dyer cleaning business NYC. married in NYC 29 Sep 1874 to Marie Crave born May 1850 France. parents: Hypolito Crave and Marie Verchot. occ. Seamstress dyer cleaner business in NYC. They had three sons all born in NYC Alphonse Eugene and Jules. I found a naturalization record from the Common Pleas Court NY County it states: date naturalized: 22 Oct 1888 bundle 622 record No. 71 address 10 W. 3rd St. NYC occupation: dyer Former Nationality: French Date of Arrival: April 1872 Witness: Fred Becker 201 Greene St. NYC My main problem is not knowing WHERE in France they came from. Found Marie Crave Bailly's death record but only France listed for place of birth and her SON Jules provided the info. Still looking for any records that might give me the answer. I have one cousin here that says she always heard they came from Alsace-Lorraine. All suggestions and help is very much appreciated.
