Payne, she married John Nelson Converse on Oct. 6, 1875, in Putnam Co, OH. Children include Howard and Lucius (1880 Monterey, Putnam Co., OH census). Their son, Elmer, was born in 1881 and Charles Howard was born in 1884. Her husband, John, likely died in 1883. Geneva had at least two children born well after his death: Lillian Susie McLary (perhaps her father's name), b. Nov. 1896, and Edna Florence, b. 1894. Their fathers are unknown. 2m: As Geneva Converse, she married Celestine Parnin on Aug. 23, 1900, in Van Wert Co., OH. She was a resident of Jackson Twp., Van Wert Co., OH, he was a resident of Arcola, IN. No known children resulted from this union. Her grave is not marked. Source for burial: d/c and obituary. Note: her daughter, Lillian Susie, was living w her maternal grandparents in Van Wert Co., OH in 1900. She was enumerated as Susan Converse. Lillie married four times: William H. Ward (1914), William Conrad Richard (1916), Richard E. Callahan (1928) and Robert Betz (1934). Geneva's name shows as Geneva Callahan-Parnin in the cemetery records at acgsi.org for Prairie Grove. Callahan was the surname of her daughter, Lillian, when Geneva died.
