Baxter of Scriba Center, Oct 8th after a short illness, aged 77 years. The funeral services were held at Hastings Presbyterian church on Saturday, Oct 11th. Rev. Mr. Ward of Scriba officiating, internment was made in Parish Cemetery. Mr. Petit was born in France and came to this country with his parents while young. He was married to Elizabeth C. Racine. Three children blessed this union, all preceding him to that 'Heavenly land.'
