Marie Francoise Lomont Gladieux was the daughter of Claude Francois Lomont and Angelique Verdy. On August 21 1860 she married Francois Gladieux in Jefferson Twonship Allen county Indiana. In 1910 she and her husband were one of three couples in the Besancon area to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Marie Françoise Lomont (aka Mary Francis) was born May 30 1844 in Branne Dept Doubs France. At the age of 5 she emigrated to the United States sailing with her father and mother on the ship St. Nicholas from Le Havre France to New York City New York. Marie married François Gladieux (aka Francis Frank) on August 21 1860 in St. Louis Catholic Church Besancon Allen County IN. François was born on October 8 1837 in Alsace-Lorraine Territory France. François and Marie had nine children four boys four girls and another who died as an infant Louis Amelia Claude Amiel Edward Nora Josephine and Mary. François and Marie were counted in a census in 1860/1870 in Jefferson Twp. Allen Co. IN. François died of arteriosclerosis on October 17 1916 in Jefferson Township Allen County IN and is buried in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery Besancon IN. Marie died of pneumonia on May 15 1922 in Jefferson Township Allen County IN and is buried in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery Besancon IN
François and Marie Françoise Lomont Gladieux lived on a farm near the town of Tillman IN. François was an elected official the County Commisioner of Allen County.
