He died on 10 Jun 1887 in Green Twp Wayne County Ohio. He married Fanny 'Veronica' Eicher (daughter of Jacob Eicher and Marie Riche) on 07 Jul 1833 in Wayne County Ohio. She was born on 25 Dec 1815 in Doubs Franche-Comté France. She died on 25 Feb 1900 in Wayne County Ohio. Peter Liechty was also known as Pierre Lichty. He was buried in Oak Grove Mennonite Church Cemetery Wayne County Ohio. Notes for Peter Liechty: LICHTY-On the 10th of June near Orrville Wayne Co. Ohio Peter Lichty at the age of 83 years and 5 days. He was born in 1804 and in 1825 he was married to Veronica Eicher and they had a family of eleven children of whom ten survive him 54 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was buried on the 12th at the Oak Grove Meeting house. Services by J.K. Yoder and D.Z. Yoder from 2 Timothy 4:6-8. He led an exemplary christian life and was loved and respected by all.
