This discovery was a result of placing Francis and Victor Renoux in St. Louis Missouri in 1863 (when they were required to register for the civil war draft) and searching for the name “Renoux” and “St. Louis.” The St. Louis public library makes available an obituary search online (Document1 The obituary search does not bring up the actual obituary but does return a reference to the actual newspaper that the staff of the library can research and makes copies of with the payment of a very small fee. This obituary states “Dubail – entered into rest on Saturday August 5 1922 at 11:35 p.m. Marie Catherine Dubail (nee Renoux) widow of Xavier Dubail mother of John P. and Marguerite Dubail Mrs. W.S. Lamar Mrs. V.J.
